Biography
Oleksandr Bondar is a Ukrainian pianist, repetiteur, and stage director, currently based between London, Vienna, and Kyiv. He began his studies at Khmelnytskyi Music College, where he received his diploma as a piano pedagogue, chamber ensemble artist, and accompanist. He later continued at the National Music Academy of Ukraine named after P. I. Tchaikovsky, pursuing a Master’s degree in opera and theatre direction.
As a pianist, Oleksandr has worked internationally across Ukraine, Austria, Denmark, and the UK. He is currently a pianist at the Royal Ballet School and collaborates as a repetiteur with soloists connected to the Vienna State Opera, as well as with renowned artists including Grammy Award winner Anatoliy Kocherga and Kammersängerin Olivera Miljakovic. His versatile repertoire spans opera, ballet, chamber music, and solo piano performance.
Alongside his pianistic career, Oleksandr is an active stage director and actor. His productions include works by Bizet, Lysenko, and Schoenberg, while his acting credits feature award-winning performances at leading Kyiv theatres. Known for integrating live piano into theatrical performance, he creates projects at the intersection of music and drama.
Passionate about teaching, Oleksandr brings a wide range of experience to his students, drawing on both his classical piano background and his professional work with singers, dancers, and actors. He teaches with a focus on musicality, stage presence, and expressive communication through music.
